Metro Vancouver’s Drinking Water Conservation Plan, Stage 1 watering restrictions will come into effect on May 1, 2021, as outlined in Metro Vancouver’s Drinking Water Conservation Plan. The days and times in which watering will be permitted remains the same as in 2020.
Metro Vancouver’s Drinking Water Conservation Plan is a regional policy that was developed in partnership with local governments and others to manage the use of treated drinking water during the summer period. The plan includes restrictions on lawn watering as well as other outdoor water uses which are essential to managing the peak demands for drinking water during the summer period.
